Hey there viewers,
We missed our blastoff date, but that's ok. We are still working on this blog spot. The plot thickens, as Mr. Hoffman scolds me for not meeting deadlines. This having finished products by a certain date was not easy. I'm finding that first of all, I had to sort through over a million beads that I just got out of storage 2 weeks ago...that was and is not easy.
Why did I get started only 2 weeks ago? We had new windows put in and they did them incorrectly. A job that should have taken 3 days at the most for our apartment took over 2 weeks. I could have screamed. So every day my bedroom/craft room was a mess. I couldn't think. I got a little depressed, I really did.
Then, I had to ascertain how and where to store everything. I realized that I had to purchase more storage space, hence the new storage cabinet (see photos). I am still not through storing all of materials. In addition to all of this I needed to purchase a new sewing machine, since I fabricate some items which are sewn. So off to Walmart, I go. Then I realize that I've got all kinds of finished pieces which I needed to display. So, I used an old spice rack to display them (see photo). It worked out nicely. But, I have even more finished pieces to photograph and display.
After all of that I started fabricating some of the ideas that I had in my head into actual designs. I made two pillows and took them to my friends in Iowa, as gifts. (no photos).
I created a couple of new bracelets. The charm bracelet is my favorite. I went to the resale shop and purchased old school metals, some from as old as 1938 and made the bracelet. I love making things out of items that other people have used and discarded. As I wear the bracelet, I wonder are the people who won these medals still alive, how did they feel, when they won the medal and how did they feel when they discarded the medal. That's why I also love coins from other countries..I wonder what was purchased with these coins before I got them. What hands touched them, in what city of the country..etc. Things that make you go ummmm. Something to think about.
I'm trying to set it up where you can follow me on Pinterest. I'll be posting pictures on this blogspot and also on there. I hope you will join me there too.
Well, I need to continue the sorting process, so good bye for now. Have a great week.

We're Shuffling...
Hey there everyone, I'm busy, busy, busy trying to get this blogspot up for your viewing and purchasing pleasure. My right-hand-man Mr. Hoffman is uploading pictures of the winter preview, even as I type. This was a little more work than we thought. We're so excited as we try to get things set up prior to our launch on November 1, 2012. There are supplies to purchase, new projects to complete and dreams being set in motion here. The week of Oct 1, 2012 we will go to warp speed to try to get out of the starting gate on time. I worked on some bracelet skeletons today and they came out perfect, although I'm already out of waxed Irish linen thread. Too funny. So that means I have to get through to Belfast, Ireland and order some more, because as I made calls today there was none to be found from the vendors here in the USA. If anyone knows of a vendor who carries the large spools of this wonderful waxed cotton thread, please feel free to contact me. Well, enough for today as we scurry around for a few more hours plotting, planning, laughing and getting things organized for you. So...keep checking back and see what's new here as we add new things each week. Have a great one!!!
